 BOLDTransitions was founded by Jan Horning in 2006. Jan facilitates values-based leadership – individually and corporately - by helping clients define their own transition. Simply stated: to define what has been, what is, what they want , and what needs to happen to realize their goals.
BOLDTransitions is the essence of what Jan’s clients do. For more than 25 years, Jan has been empowering people by listening with heart, challenging, teaching, mentoring, championing, and coaching them as they have navigated their transitions. While Jan’s work is client-centered, and is driven by the client's agenda, people choose to work with her because of her enthusiasm, energy, creativity, and big-picture perspective. They understand she values her clients for their commitment and courage in their transitions.
Jan challenges people to understand themselves and their relationships by exploring what they believe and what they want. BOLDTransitions helps people identify and live what they value most. This process is integral to balance, wholeness, self-knowing and values-based leadership. Jan believes that values-based leadership is available to everyone. She understands leadership to be an action word rather than something one achieves, and it becomes a way of life for those who know themselves.
Jan brings to her work a blend of corporate and entrepreneurial experience, in both the public and private sectors. She has worked closely with CEOs from organizations ranging from closely-held businesses to Fortune 100 companies. Jan has coached and consulted with entrepreneurs, mid-level managers, and executives of multi-billion dollar corporations throughout the country. She is co-creator and a lead facilitator of a leadership development program for senior level executives. She has founded and run four different businesses, including a not-for-profit, two consulting businesses, and a private clinical practice. Jan has a degree in psychology and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
